The National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Educating Entrepreneurial Technicians for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) project (1902003) aids technicians with the knowledge and skills to apply UAS technology and intellectual property (IP) in business. Main deliverables include a one-year college certificate integrating UAS courses with entrepreneurship content, a business plan competition supporting the formation and success of high-tech UAS-related startups, student access to IP from government, industry, and academic partners, and STEM materials and teacher training to encourage high school students to consider entrepreneurial UAS ventures.
